Dear Friends of Morrison Knudsen Foundation,

I am honored to address you in our annual president’s letter and grateful for the occasion to share with you my enthusiasm about the Foundation’s dedication to continue to help to make our community a better place to live.  Our volunteer board of directors devotes their time and attention to this task. It is our hope that the good name of the Foundation will always be recognized as an extension of the pioneering spirit and intent of the foundation’s many donors, as well as, remembrance of those with ties to the Foundation through the evolution of Morrison Knudsen Company.

We are committed to fulfilling the Foundation’s mission statement of assisting individuals and families in need with our focus on independence and confidence-building, so they can return to self-sufficiency with a sense of dignity and promise. We remain especially grateful for our continued ability to direct our resources to meet the ever increasing needs of our community for this type of service.

It is our pledge that applicants for foundation grants will be met with professionalism and compassion and the foundation will continue to operate with the same high-level of efficiency and integrity that our community partners have come to expect over the many years. We acknowledge that we can only adequately carry out the mission of the Foundation by forming successful partnerships with reputable, local non-profit organizations who share our vision of administering programs and services that address the necessities our applicants require. We will entertain grant requests from 501(c)3 qualified organizations by invitation.

With so many past charitable accomplishments to be proud of, we plan a bright future and are pleased that you are interested in following our charitable activities as we reach our fundraising and grant making goals.  I appreciate the support you may have provided to the Foundation over the past several years and invite you to join us in helping  to bring about many positive changes for our community.

Sincerely,

Frank Finlayson, President
